A provincial science fair run on paper and email. A role-based system to register and evaluate projects, for two ministries. I led a team of four.
Context
The Science and Technology Fair of the province of Córdoba was run on paper and email, across two ministries: Education, and Science and Technology.
What I built
It was our final project for the Systems Engineering degree at UTN FRC. I led a team of four and handled the frontend: role-based authentication and authorization, sessions and user management. The system covers project registration, fair and evaluator management, notifications, email and evaluation. I gathered the requirements in meetings with both ministries and turned them into user stories.
Built with
React and Redux on the frontend; Node, Express, MongoDB, Redis and Bull on the backend. Deployed on Netlify and AWS.
Outcome
A system with a role for every participant, from registration to evaluation. It’s the project I graduated with.
