Single sign-on and self-service
Systems used by more than 100,000 students. Single sign-on with two-factor authentication, user management, self-service systems, automated deployments and legacy code maintenance.
Context
Since 2023 I’ve worked at the IT Office (Prosecretaría de Informática, PSI) of the National University of Córdoba, the team that builds and runs the university’s systems. More than 100,000 students use them.
What I built
- Authentication: I run the university’s single sign-on (SSO). I added two-factor authentication (MFA), rate limiting and upgrades to secure versions.
- Student self-service: I build and maintain MiUNC, the students’ self-service system, and the student management systems.
- Deployments: I set up CI/CD pipelines so shipping a release doesn’t depend on manual steps.
- Legacy code: I refactored and optimized old systems so they respond faster.
- AI assistants: a smaller part of my work, covered in Assistants for the UNC.
Built with
Vue (Vuex, Vue Router), Node, Express and MongoDB; SAML for single sign-on.
Outcome
More than three years keeping systems used by over 100,000 students up and running. The details are in my CV.
